Happy to have my dear sisters-in-law here with us. Anna wrote yesterday on FB: My precious sisters are visiting my world!

And I added: Good to have my sisters-in-law in "my world" too. My dear brothers Rune and Lars Evert: Let's do the same .... one day!

Yesterday a historical CPP day.

Yesterday we had a historic day here in Ubon & Pakse. Our Child Protection Policy (CPP) was ready, blessed and we signed. 

We were delighted that we now have this up-and-running:

a) for ourselves in R4U, ToL and CSC.

b) for others to copy in other organizations, churches, etc.

Why is this so important? We have seen that people, of their own free will, can choose bad life practices. And this is very harmful. But when a person is abused, especially as a child, he/she becomes deeply hurt. This can "control" this person as a child, as a youth, and even as an adult.

My research indicates that the greatest root cause (here in Isaan and southern Laos) to gender confusion, prostitution, human trafficking of various kinds, family problems, etc. is child abuse. Mostly an abused person losses his/her self-value 

       and after that (too often) he/she is available for “disposal” of other people.

Our prayer is that this material will spread like "wildfire" (become a movement) in Ubon and Pakse for awareness and also restoration. Praying that all children and young people in all institutions, churches, families, etc. around here can grow up in safe and secure environment. I'm sure that this will mean that it will also be much easier in Ubon & Pakse to trust Father God and feel more welcomed into the Churches.

The CPP is now being translated to English and Lao. Write to us if you want an example for: Copy-and-use as much as you can. Then we all will be very happy. Especially the children. Ingvar 

Welcome to Pakse

Last Thursday the Chiang Mai registered Thaicar with its Swedish driver was welcomed into Laos. I am in Pakse Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon.

Grandmother with Maja.

The day after the Celebration Together Anna went to Sweden. She is now 2 weeks in Hällingsjö outside Guthenburg to be the grandmother for the newborn Maja.

I miss my dear wife. Her chair stands empty,

but we solve many things through Skype. And I am overjoyed that she can help Ruth and Niklas a few days.

I have to wait 3-4 months before I can give Maja (also Emeily and Alfred) the grandfather hug. Ruth, I also have many “father hugs” for you and Niklas, I have many “son-in-law hugs” for you. Ingvar

Very Good Weekend.

We have had three very blessed days with Celebration Together in U-Park.

In the evenings we had very good music, worship, testimonies, clear dramas and encouraging fellowship. Several of us went around talking to people and prayed for them. Totally more than 500 people came (some for a short time) + all who stood/sat on a distance or walked by. See pictures below.

Saturday morning we had a good Project Board meeting for Ruamchai4Ubon.     

                       

The whole weekend was very encouraging. And we feel like we've taken some big step forward in the Kingdom of God in Ubon. Some pictures:

Anna is now 2 weeks in Sweden to be with our daughter Ruth and her family. We have a new grandchild Maja and Ruth had some hard first 2 weeks with difficulties to sleep. Now she is getting better. Ingvar

Maja is Born in Borås 21st Jan 2015

The Good News from Borås in Sweden is that Maja was born 21e January at 03:20 in the morning. She is our 8^th grandchild and …. we long to hug her. But we have to do it over Spype until end of May. Ruth and Niklas is happy parents and  Emilie and Alfred happy brother and sister.

Be Blessed Maja from heaven and from grandfather .....every day.   

Baan Op Oon

Rejoice with us and especially with all children and young people in Ubon & Pakse that the project: 

is starting up this month. The word Baan Op Oon (directly translated: A warm/safe home) has a very good meaning in Thai. And people are happy when they hear these 3 words together. In English the project is called Child Safe Communities.

We rejoice that Khun Minh Patra has agreed to be responsible for this. Khun Minh has already made a survey and is now ready to start networking and do implementation.

This project will develop Child Welfare & protection Policies, 3-3-5, Good Touch - Bad Touch, and similar materials in Thai and Lao so helpful values will be built up for orphanages, kindergartens, boarding houses, churches, homes and the different societies. 

Some have already material, but now we will help each other to develop them and put them in action. Ingvar
